What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Support Member position at Hutcherson Construction?
A Hutcherson Construction Logistics Support Member is responsible for ensuring job sites are equipped and running smoothly by assisting with moving job trailers, delivering and picking up materials, and supporting various site needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
- Safely move and set up job trailers between job sites.
- Pick up and deliver construction materials and tools as directed.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas, trailers and trucks.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment and supplies.
- Communicate with field teams to coordinate drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Assist with conducting maintenance and checks on company vehicles and equipment.
- Support other field logistics or construction needs as assigned.
- Help manage inventory in the shop warehouse, including tracking materials, organizing stock and
- reporting shortages.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety regulations and protocols on jobs sites and during transportation.
- Participate in professional development as applicable.

Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in a construction environment preferred.
- Experience with managing material inventory is preferred.
- Experience hauling trailers and transporting materials is a plus.
Other Applicable Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- A valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation are required of this role.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to stand, walk and bend of extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
- This role operates mostly outdoors and will need to have flexibility for work hours based on job site needs, Monday through Friday.
- This role may be required to work extended hours and weekends to meet the needs of the business.
