NOW HIRING MANUFACTURING TECHNICIANS

Hutchinson Fluid Management Systems in Livingston, TN., is looking to fill Manufacturing Technicians positions. The basic purpose of the Manufacturing Technician is to support the manufacturing department by performing standard operations on mechanical and/or electrical equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the manufacturing department by coordinating the work area production requirements.
• May also perform a variety of routine or standard assembly operations on mechanical and/or electrical equipment producing assemblies and/or sub-assemblies; may be required to substitute for a production job.
• Coordinate production requirements with area’s daily work schedules.
• Train new employees on machine operation and inspection.
• Prepare, organize and control flow of material to, through and from line.
• Use hand tool and/or inspection/test equipment.
• Inspect as instructed to ensure customer and Hutchinson specifications are maintained.
• Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly condition: detect and report any defective materials and equipment.
• Perform other duties as directed.
• Support the safety and environmental programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School education or GED Equivalent
• Basic math, reading and writing skills
• Computer skills
• Six months or more experience in a warehouse setting is highly preferred

SPECIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Mechanical Aptitude
• The ability to read SPC charts
• Strong communication skills and the ability to share knowledge with others

• Work in a self-directed manner with little supervision
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Have a high level of professional maturity

PHYSICAL DEMANDS * Ability to stand for long periods of time, twist turn, stoop, bend and climb

• Move freely without assistance
• Ability to lift 35 lbs.
