Sales Representative / Customer Service
Facility: Trenton Plants
General Description
The Sales Representative / Customer Service employee is primarily responsible to support the daily Sales and Marketing activities of the Hutchinson Defense and Security, Military Division. He or she will assist all departments (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Production) in completing tasks necessary to make the operation run smoothly and promote Hutchinson’s products and services to the customer.
Specific Duties
• Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.
• Support the Director of Sales and Marketing and Staff as required.
• Support and manage new and existing customer accounts as assigned by management.
• Partner with the Sales Team to maintain positive customer relationships.
• Assist in orienting customers with product information, pricing and new service contract opportunities.
• Accurately process internal and external customer transactions such as orders, solicitations, and quotes. Serve as the contact point when required. Work closely with production to ensure that all order are shipped to the customer on time.
• Communicate with production and purchasing department to obtain materials lead times for new and existing customer orders.
• Follow up on incoming questions, inquiries via phone, email or fax.
• Work overtime as required.

Qualifications
• Previous experience in a Sales or Customer Service position is required.
• Experience in shipping and logistics is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

The employee frequently is required to sit; walk, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, for viewing a computer terminal distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception vision for driving and ability to adjust focus.
This position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

The following list of PPE is required while in the manufacturing area.
• Safety Glasses conforming to ANSI Z87.1 or higher
• Steel Toe Safety Shoes conforming to OSHA General Industry Standards 29 CFR 1910
• Hearing protection conforming to OSHA General Industry Standards 29 CFR 1910
