Recruitment and Onboarding :
Post job openings and manage recruitment processes.
Conduct interviews and coordinate hiring activities.
Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding.
Employee Relations :
Address employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback.
Prepare documentation for employees such as onboarding packet, FMLA/STD paperwork, termination documents, offer letters, etc.
Compensation and Benefits :
Administer payroll and manage employee benefits programs.
Ensure compliance with compensation regulations and policies.
Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
Manage Annual Enrollment activities and ensure timely enrollments for all employees.
Training and Development :
Organize and conduct training sessions and workshops.
Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest program updates as needed.
Policy Implementation :
Enforce company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and employment standards.
Communicate policy changes to employees.
Performance Management :
Coordinate performance appraisal processes using HR Connect.
Support supervisors in evaluations of hourly employees, ensuring timely completion.
Support supervisors in addressing performance issues.
Record Keeping and Compliance :
Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
Prepare and submit required reports and documentation.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain Shopvue timekeeping system and assist supervisors with payroll approval and changes.
HR Projects and Initiatives :
Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes.
Support diversity and inclusion efforts.
Assist with organizational development and change management.
Travel may be required on an infrequent basis to other Hutchinson locations.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
Experience with HR software and databases.
Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and external parties.
Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, bonuses, and overtime.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with HRIS software.
Familiarity with payroll software and recruiting platforms such as indeed.
REASONING ABILITY:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Capable of making sound decisions and exercising good judgment in a fast-paced environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
