Backend Software Engineer
Boston, MA (HYBRID - 3x / week onsite)
A reputable GreenTech firm in Boston is looking to bring on a Software Engineer to the team. This person will join a fast-growing team that's responsible for digital innovation and cloud enablement to the org's entire tech ecosystem.
About the Role : This person will join a team of exceptionally talented data and software engineers that support the firm's core data warehouse and platform. They've recently built out a Snowflake DW to host all of the data that's brought into, transformed and pushed out to business stakeholders. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of highly-performant, scalable APIs that enable distribution of upstream data.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of professional software development experience, focused in backend development
- Highly skilled with Python programming and relevant frameworks (Flask, Django)
- Strong experience designing, developing and maintaining APIs (FastAPI, REST / RESTful)
- Solid understanding of OOP programming, algorithms, data structures and cloud data workflows
- Database experience (SQL, MySQL, Postgres, etc.)
- Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
- BS or MS in Computer Science (or related STEM field)
- Located in Boston / Greater Boston area and able to commute 3x / week in office (no relocation)
