What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Counterperson position at HW Kia of West County?
HW Kia of West County is looking for a Parts Counterperson to add to their team.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
- Respond to emails and phone calls providing price quotes and information
- Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Review service estimates and ensure all parts are correct and in stock or on order
- Notify the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
- Issue and track requested shop tools to technicians.
- Replenishes assigned inventory daily
- Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates and special-order parts.
- Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of automotive technology and terminology
- CDK experience preferred
- Kia automotive brand experience a plus
- Extremely organized with dedicated attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to change with the industry
- Ability to work while standing for extended hours
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
