Are you passionate about providing compassionate and effective mental health care to students and families? HWS Best Health Boardman Counseling Team is seeking a dedicated Counselor. This role offers the opportunity to work with students in Boardman School District.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Complete Diagnostic Assessments: Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to understand clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
· Obtain Consent: Obtain consent for treatment and release of information forms in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
· Provide Individual Counseling: Conduct individual counseling sessions to address clients' mental health concerns and promote well-being.
· Family Sessions: Conduct family sessions as needed to address family dynamics and support holistic healing.
· Support in Crisis Situations: Offer timely support and interventions in crisis situations to ensure clients' safety and well-being.
· Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique goals and challenges.
Requirements:
· Bachelors or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
· Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a mental health counselor (LPC or LPCC), clinical social worker (LSW or LISW), or psychologist (PsyD) in the state of Ohio.
· Experience working with children, adolescents and teenagers in a mental health setting.
· Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
· Proficiency in telehealth platforms for virtual counseling sessions.
