What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airport Services Ground Trainer position at Hyannis Air Service Inc?
SUMMARY:
This person in this position provides training for all airport Ramp, Customer Service, and Cross-Trained station employees.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the training department team to ensure effective and efficient training
- Maintain regular communication with the ground training department to review station training needs, and schedule training classes as needed
- Report to our headquarters in HYA for meetings, training, and other business reasons, as directed
- Conduct classroom training and testing of station employees for Customer Service and Ramp assigned functions
- Ensure that station employees understand department policies and procedures
- Visit stations to provide training support as requested, needed, and practical
- Provide on-site training for existing and new airport services locations system-wide
- Maintain training records for assigned stations, working with station leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory and company training requirements
- Remain proficient in all station agent job functions and new enhancements
- Assist with the development, testing, and implementation of new technological enhancements that support airport stations and customer service functions, as well as training related to these new enhancements
- Maintain training records for vendor employees at assigned stations
- Work with other departments to successfully support training requirements
- Communicate with department leadership regarding any pertinent issues to the department and field
- Suggest ways to improve internal processes and safety
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess and maintain proficiency with airline computer systems and able to learn other similar systems as needed as well as ramp duties and assignments
- Proficiency with computer systems/software, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Enthusiastically support the company and promote company programs, products, technology and our department
- Able to coordinate cost-conscious business travel, including transportation and lodging, independently
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in front of an audience
- Have the ability and willingness to travel extensively to assigned stations and to support new stations and seasonal needs.
