The Event Planning Coordinator is responsible for servicing group sales bookings.
Duties to include room block management, logistic planning, conflict resolution and possible hotel tours. In addition, Event Planning Coordinator is responsible for communicating client’s needs to hotel staff, and working closely with Sales Managers and Operations team during and post- event to ensure a high level of service.
Service responsibilities to include managing the executed sales agreement, detailing room block, identifying ways to enhance the experience, effectively manage room blocks, understanding group history and pick up performance, familiarizing client with Hyatt’s planner technology, being the group onsite point of contact, conducting all administrative tasks, group billing management and finalizing post-convention reports.
Our Event Planning Coordinator is expected to be actively involved in all Hyatt colleagues’ programs.

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment while carrying a positive attitude and living Hyatt’s values and mission.
- Candidates should be extremely detail-oriented, and organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment
- Prior hotel experience or event planning experience preferred
- Must be proficient in the following computer programs: Envision sales, Envision Detailing, Event Concierge Application, Event Concierge Console, Hy-Res, Opera, Sertifi, Hyatt Credit Portal, Group Bill, Planner Portal, and Microsoft Office. Reserve and Opera experience are a plus.
