The Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate. The Sales Manager will also participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings. The Sales Manager also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff to in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and market share growth.
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive threats.
- Manage and grow the hotel’s corporate, group, and leisure accounts.
- Organize and conduct sales presentations, site tours, and client meetings.
- Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, including corporate clients, event planners, travel agents, and group organizers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, addressing any questions or concerns related to bookings, contracts, and event planning.
- Revenue Generation:
- Develop pricing strategies and create proposals to drive profitable business.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction and profitability.
- Track sales performance and adjust strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Market Research & Networking:
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, potential leads, and competitor activities.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build relationships and generate leads.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management, analyzing the success of sales strategies and identifying areas for improvement.
- Monitor and analyze competitor performance to adjust pricing and sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaboration with Hotel Departments:
- Work closely with the hotel’s operations team to ensure smooth execution of booked events and client requests.
- Coordinate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns that support sales goals.
- Communicate client needs to relevant departments to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, sales strategies, and booking systems.
- Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
- Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales management software (e.g., Envision, Opera, Pro, BOB, Colleague Advantage, Citrix and Cvent)
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
