Responsibilities:
- Greeting and escorting all guests to tables, assisting in seating and distributing menus
- Extending courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant
- Preparing station chart and assigning stations to staff following departmental procedures
- Inspecting condition and cleanliness of menus and wine lists; ensuring designated amounts are available. Updating menus and wine lists as changes occur
- Inspecting the restaurant environment and entrance area
- Inspecting tables and stations, ensuring that all set-ups meet the department standards
- Taking, recording and confirming restaurant reservations/cancellations as specified in departmental standards
- Communicating pertinent information to coworkers during operation
- Extend courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant
Requirements:
- Prior Food Service experience is ideal, but willing to train the right person. We are dedicated to thoroughly training & developing our team into hotel leaders through interactive teamwork in a positive work environment!
- Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
- A genuine passion for the culinary arts, food, and beverage, with a willingness to continuously learn and grow.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine connections with guests and colleagues
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink prices
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure, ensuring efficient service even during peak dining hour
- Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently
- Full availability is required, must be able to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
