The salary range for this position is $68,640.00 to $86,600. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications, and education.

The Assistant Event Operations Manager (Banquets & Event Set Up) will be responsible for managing banquet events at the hotel. This person supervises event room set-ups, service, and maintenance of all banquet functions and banquet equipment. This role is a highly detailed role within the hotel requiring a candidate able to fulfill the needs of each event and create an appealing experience for guests and clients.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supports and manages the Event Services (Banquets) department while working closely with the Banquet Manager, Director of Events, Associate Director of Events and Assistant Director of Operations- F&B, along with other hotel departments
- Supervise, Empower, Lead, Coach and Motivate the teams including captains, food servers, and Event Set Up housepersons towards achieving exceptional guest service results and positive colleague engagement
- Assist the hotel in reaching top notch service scores on our Meeting Planner surveys.
- Ensure thorough communication and understanding with guests and other departments by reviewing Banquet Event Orders.
- Support the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining the highest standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications
- Support the review of staffing and equipment needs
- Support the coordination and execution of all events with Culinary, Stewarding, Event Planning & Sales, and Event Setup
- Maintain a high energy, positivity, and a professional appearance
- Develop innovative and creative décor for Banquet function space
- Support the short and long term banquet functions in the front and back of the house
- Support an environment establishing the highest standards of quality service and ensure implementation through effective hiring, training development, promotion and continuous reinforcement.
- Administrative tasks may include the facilitation of payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory and budget for food and beverage functions
- Perform daily walk-throughs in banquet department and all function space and storerooms to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards
- Ability to develop ideas for special events and holiday functions
