Essential Job Functions
- Takes orders from customers or Bar Server.
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
- Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
- Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
- Checks food before serving it to the guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
- Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts.
- Follows AURO Hotels’ beverage standards and procedures
- Makes sure all drinks are rung up properly and collect money for drinks served.
- Follows cash handling responsibilities as dictated by AURO Hotels’ policy.
- Is fully responsible and accountable for an issued bank.
- Fills out beverage requisitions, par and supply lists; assists in monthly inventory.
- Has full knowledge of and fully comply with the state liquor laws.
- Follows proper procedures for ringing guest checks and cash collecting procedures.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and monitor those actions of others.
- Prepares efficiently and accurately all drinks according to AURO Hotels’ standards Has knowledge of general house information in order to assist guests at any time.
- Relays any guest complaints/comments to Manager.
- Responsible for the daily maintenance and cleanliness of the bar before, during and after shift.
- Responsible for profitable bar cost by accurate measurement of product. Measure all drinks properly using a jigger. No free pouring!
- Completes opening/closing duties (side work).
- Responsible to never leave bar unattended.
Experience/Education
High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
