We are seeking a Pastry Cook—an intermediate-level role perfect for someone with prior baking and pastry experience looking to grow within a supportive, stable culinary environment. You’ll work alongside a long-tenured management team and skilled peers in a high-volume resort setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality pastry items including breakfast pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, mousses, custards, ice creams, sorbets, and specialty amenity items.
- Follow all prep lists, banquet event orders (EOs), and standardized recipes.
- Review assignments with the Executive Pastry Chef and/or Pastry Supervisor at the start of each shift.
- Maintain sanitation, food safety, and temperature logs in line with HACCP standards.
- Safely operate and maintain kitchen tools and equipment, report issues promptly.
- Rotate through various pastry stations including café, breakfast, outlets, and banquets.
- Ensure proper dating, labeling, storage, and rotation of food items.
- Support and communicate with team members to meet service expectations and department goals.
- Previous professional baking and pastry experience required.
- Culinary school or formal pastry training preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Professional demeanor, grooming, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
- A passion for baking and a desire to grow in the culinary field.
