The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the seasonal food and beverage area within the hotel. Responsibilities may include scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. This person may also coordinate special events at the hotel. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful.

Duties Include:

**Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays**

** Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages. **

• Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
• Exercise quality control for both food and beverage
• Maintain Hyatt standards of service and ensure their implementation
• Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
• Coordinate breaks for assigned staff.
• Assign work and side duties to staff in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift.
• Conduct pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to the day's business. Inspect grooming and attire of staff; rectify any deficiencies.
• Inspect table/set-ups; check for cleanliness, neatness and agreement with guest's order and departmental standards; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel.

Wage Information:

The salary range for this position is $27.30 to $38.17. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as F&B Management preferred
• Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred
• Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills, ability to work with flexible work schedule, be a team player and a dynamic leader
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people
