This is a paid Hyatt internship program at the Grand Hyatt Denver for students seeking an understanding of the hospitality industry. This Food and Beverage Intern will focus on Event Services; inclusive of Stewarding and Banquets. The right person will gain experience in overall Events Food and Beverage operations, giving them the opportunity to develop their career within Food and Beverage.
The responsibilities of the Banquets portion of the internship includes introduction into server responsibilities, supervising duties of Event Services Captains / Supervisors, room setup, preparation of events and execution of events in collaboration with Culinary and Stewarding.
The responsibilities of the Stewarding portion of the internship includes assisting in any area in the Stewarding Division. They are expected to support leadership by executing the daily strategy implemented for the team and hotel. This role will be the direct liaison between Culinary and Banquets for the Stewarding department. Other duties may include ensuring sanitation in all food production service areas, assisting with the Culinary team with food preparation, delivering food to hotel banquet space, confirming food safety standards are met, and assisting Stewards with tasks at-hand to ensure deadlines are met.
Candidates must have open availability for both AM / PM shifts including holidays and weekends; will accommodate current school schedules if needed.
This is a paid Hyatt internship for students seeking an understanding of the hospitality industry. Students must secure their own housing.
19.81 per hour
