Position summary:
Work with manufacturing, production planners, purchasing and all internal groups to develop a schedule for the
production of selected products or product lines.
Requirements
- Coordinates activities for completing the production of components to meet customer requirements on-time by close management of inventory levels and working with purchasing dept. on preventing shortages and delays as well as finding solutions.
- Streamline processes for sales & operations to maximize output efficiency.
- Oversee company sales to ensure they are realistic dates & production schedules
- Works with Customer Service to forecast future production requirements in order to increase or decrease production levels accordingly.
- Monitors the work in progress to determine on-time shipments to customers by orchestrating company’s production schedule.
- Prepares reports to Purchasing, Production management, Customer Service, QA, and Product management identifying scheduling concerns and constraints.
Skills and Attributes:
- Must be organized and able prioritize based on defined variables.
- Must have strong people skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite. In particular Excel and Word.
- A knowledge of machines, tools, and technology in manufacturing is required.
Training Requirements Experience And Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience as a planner or scheduler required. APICS certification preferred. Safety and Personal Protective Equipment: Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities. This includes at a customer or supplier location. Must meet requirements for PPE in specific manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes and safety glasses.
