Description
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the von Drehle Master Production Scheduler is determining daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production requirements and needs based on factors within a multi-location manufacturing operation.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Significant collaboration with facility leadership, sales, customer service, distribution centers, and key outside suppliers.
- Maintain the Master Production Schedule for all facilities, reviewing daily to adjust for changes in customer requirements, delays in receiving raw materials, availability of production equipment and staffing. Advise appropriate parties in the facilities of changes in schedules.
- Conduct analysis, recovery opportunities, new product introductions, end of product life strategies, inventory projections, and demand requirements.
- Conduct capacity planning overviews utilizing customer expectations, internal supply and production constraints, sales, forecasts, and new business opportunities.
- Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels to ensure high service levels.
- Monitor adherence to Master Production Schedule. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including metrics for production performance to requested production schedule.
- Responsible for identifying and recommending short/long-term solutions to capacity issues.
- Assist management in resolving problems concerning shortages, product structure changes, and cancellation of orders, and/or capacity constraints.
- Work closely with related departments on raw material issues.
- Develop and maintain management reports as required.
- Participate and contribute to the supply chain strategy improvement process.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, business analytics, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of previous experience in multi-plant production scheduling required, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement theory and practice preferred.
- Proficient analytical skills for product demand forecasts and financial profitability.
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Access, etc.
- PMI Certification preferred.
