JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Industrial Account Manager is developing new account relationships and maintaining & servicing existing customers in order to retain and grow those accounts. The primary focus will be on the Industrial market segment including but not limited to industrial cleaning, hydro-excavating, mining, oil and gas, and sewer. This position will setup and maintain distributors and end users to ensure market share goals are met. The position is working under the direction of the Industrial Sales Manager to achieve growth targets. Regular activities for this role include: outbound calling, cold calling, customer service and order entry, basic technical support, prospecting new markets and customers, and documenting activities in a CRM system.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- BS/2 year degree or equivalent work experience, plus applicable sales / mechanical aptitude.
- Experience selling products in an industrial market segment.
- Strong problems solving skills.
- Highly organized and flexibility to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, account development and time management.
- Exceptional listening skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, web applications, and CRM applications.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet sales goals and expense objectives assigned by Industrial Sales Manager
- Develop new account relationships and maintain current accounts in order to meet or exceed sales forecast.
- Prepare travel schedules and action plans to identify particular targets for customer events, trainings, etc.
- Communicate sales status reports that include activity, follow-up, closings, and adherence to targets.
- Work closely with cross functional teams utilizing customer service, engineering, marketing and operations to meet company initiatives and goals.
- Prepare proposals for new products. Negotiate customer requirements and ensure specifications and expectations are understood and achieved with the needs of the customer and the capabilities of Hydra-Flex in mind.
- Review, analyze and clearly communicate all technical information to the appropriate account manager with all supporting documentation (customer needed deliverables) required to generate orders and all required follow-up.
- Assist in problem resolution with account management personnel when needed.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to satisfy customers.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Participate in marketing events such as customer training, seminars, and web events.
- Participate in company planning and initiative events.
- Assist in the development of technical processes/training materials.
