We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with a location in Fridley and an opening for a mechanic. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude understanding of diesel repairs and hydraulics, detail oriented, a strong work ethic and the attitude to jump in and help out where needed.
SCHEDULE:
2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 3:30pm-12am (approx. 40-60 hours per week)
BENEFITS:

WAGE:
$27- $38/hr (varies based on skillset and experience)
The essential duties include:
- Install new hydraulic systems on heavy duty trucks (wet kits)
- Troubleshooting hydraulic systems on trucks and other mobile equipment
- Occasional service calls to trouble shoot systems or perform testing
- Occasional dis-assembly of hydraulic components (pumps, motors, valves and cylinders) to identifying the cause of failure. Replacing defective parts, re-assemble and test.
- Occasional Hydraulic Power Unit assembly from drawings and schematics
- May do some fabrication of frames, brackets and general work with structural steel as well as welding and use of plasma torch, band saws, hand tools, tub bending equipment and general shop tools
- Tracking of all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
- Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
- Must be willing to float to where the shop demand is and work as a team player
Requirements

- Mechanical Aptitude and Truck mechanic experience a plus
- Must be a team player.
- Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving experience a plus.
