Hydraulic Specialty Inc. is looking for a Machinist/ Lathe Operator. This position involves working in a hydraulic service and manufacturing environment where we machine replacement and production components for hydraulic cylinders, custom hydraulic manifolds, custom engineered production products and one-off products that fall within our machine capabilities. This position also supports custom fabrication, hydraulic power unit construction, on and off-road vehicle repair operations, hydraulic component repairs and anything our affiliate companies need.
SCHEDULE:
1st Shift, Monday- Friday

A Typical Day Might Include:
• Write a conversational program for a semi-automated lathe and machine a new rod or component for a hydraulic cylinder per sample. (no drawing provided)
• Write a conversational program for a semi-automated lathe and produce other custom turning products to specifications from a drawing
• Setting up a vertical machining center for manufacturing large and small quantity hydraulic manifolds
• Using vertical machining center, load G-Code program from server and edit as needed to produce products according to drawing specifications
• Collaborate with engineering/drafting team to create and edit Cam Works VMC programs
• Set up multiple vises on vertical machining center
• Deburr hydraulic manifolds
• Use a manual engine lathe for specialized jobs
• Use a Bridgeport mill to machine one off products to support hydraulic shop, truck shop or fab shop
• Welding – welding experience a plus
• Use air tools power tools, forklifts, torch set, hand tools, precisions measure tools, thread gauges, inside and outside micrometers, and other machine shop tools.
• Select the proper tooling to achieve quality and efficiency
• Tracking of all parts and materials used for each job
• Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
• Must be willing to float from time to time where the shop demand is and always work as a team player
Shop equipment you will operate:
• Kitamura 4XiD VMC, Mitsubishi G-Code controller
• TREE VMC, Conversational controller
• Milltronics Semi-Automated lathes, Conversational controllers
• Standard Milling machines
• DoAll band saws
• TimeMaster engine lathe
Requirements
You Have:

• Production and Job Shop knowledge preferred
• Solid working knowledge in G-code programming
• Solid working knowledge in Conversational programming
