Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of quality inspection processes, particularly in precision manufacturing environments.
Job Responsibilities:
· Minimum of 5-year continual inspection experience as a QC Inspector.
· Must be knowledgeable with using large, ANALOG precision measuring tools.
· Dimensional inspection of large parts using precise measuring instruments such as: outside micrometers (up to 12"), calipers, gauges and inside micrometers.
· Know how to calibrate measuring tools for machine shops and inspection reports.
· Inspect incoming pump parts, take OD diameter and ID diameter.
· Compile inspection reports.
· Identify defects and worn-out components in parts.
· Develop detailed reports for incoming, in process and final inspection.
· Must have good computer skills, familiar with MS Office suite.
· Knowledgeable about the requirements of a formal safety program: OSHA, ISO, etc.
· Previously worked in an industrial fabricating machine shop with large, moving parts and rotating equipment.
· Ability to multi-task in order to service the customer.
· Detailed, organized approach to your work.
· Must have excellent written and verbal and communication skills.
· Demonstrate ability to work and interact well with all shop personnel.
· Willing to go to customer site to process incoming inspections, if needed.
· Candidates experienced in rotating equipment, pumps or heavy machining industry strongly considered.
Job Requirements:
- 5 or more years or QC inspection experience
- Previous experience in quality control or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and techniques
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001 or Six Sigma is a plus
- Proficient in data collection and analysis using software tools or spreadsheets
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify even minor defects or deviations from standards
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
