Job Summary: Performs cost, financial and manufacturing accounting related activities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Compiles and analyzes financial information in order to prepare journal entries to general ledger accounts that documents business transactions
• Prepares and verifies the entering of journal entries to the general ledger
• Evaluates accounts for obvious errors, omissions or irregular activity and works with users to remediate
• Perform all tasks associated with the general ledger and related activity
• Understand, assist and participate with all budgeting and forecasting processes and activities
• Completes monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Read, analyze and interpret financial reports, bank statements and accounting regulations in how they impact the organization
• Assist Accounting Manager in performing ad-hoc analysis as needed

Qualifications:

• Proficient skills in manufacturing accounting, account analysis and end to end problem solutions
• Ability to assimilate knowledge quickly and facilitate effective decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Able to work within a cross functional and matrixed environment
• Solid understanding and use of all Microsoft Office products including Excel
• Positive attitude and ability to be flexible with changing work priorities

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience
