Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Orchestrate the purchase and sourcing of essential materials and services, aligning them perfectly with project specifications and budgets.
- Track order progress, facilitating seamless delivery by addressing impending delays with senior team advisement.
- Engage with suppliers to ensure timely shipment completion and resolve any order discrepancies.
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with suppliers to verify order specifics and schedule deliveries, cultivating a robust vendor network.
- Align closely with shop teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring the timely availability of required materials.
- Document status updates for materials, such as castings, in collaboration with departments like Quality Assurance and Engineering.
- Accurately prepare and manage procurement documentation, ensuring adherence to company protocols.
- Contribute to team achievements through general support, administrative duties, and collaborative coordination.
About You
- An associate degree in business or a related field with supply chain studies.
- Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing procurement as a purchaser or expeditor.
- Proven organizational and digital adeptness.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP platforms.
- Strength in teamwork and collaboration.
- Creative problem-solving outlook, paired with results-driven initiative.
- Keen interest in the nuclear sector.
- Experience with rotating equipment is advantageous.
