Sales Representative

Pay Range: $49,800 - $72,200 Bonus Compensation
General Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications, this position is responsible for driving sales and securing sponsorship and advertising opportunities for the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District. Key responsibilities include proficiently identifying and engaging potential sponsors, selling advertising space, and developing strong client relationships. This position will lead the group sales efforts for Hyland Hills facilities including Adventure Golf & Raceway, Greg Mastriona Golf Courses, Hyland Hills Fitness Center, Hyland Hills Sports Center, Ice Centre and Water World facilities in addition to other Hyland Hills assets. The Sales Manager will also coordinate daily sales activities, deliver presentations, and manage accounts, ensuring all sales efforts align with District goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals for Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District facilities and assets.
- Identify and pursue sponsorship and advertising opportunities across all District facilities.
- Proactively approach potential sponsors and advertisers to promote District offerings and secure commitments. This may include conducting sales calls and participating in trade shows.
- Showcase Water World and District facilities to potential clients through site visits to secure business.
- Promote Water World and District offerings including new attractions, seasonal consumer events and offerings.
- Facilitate the activation of marketing materials on-site at Water World or throughout other locations within the District. Provide clients with proof of performance for their assets.
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales and sponsorship goals for Water World and the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District.
Client Relationship Management
- Work closely with the Event Coordinator and various District employees to ensure client needs are effectively met through collaboration and coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors, advertisers and group sales, maintaining strong and positive relationships.
- Conduct regular outreach and follow-up to ensure client satisfaction and renewals.
- Support facility staff with large group or corporate events as needed.
Group Sales Leadership
- Responsible for generating and growing group admission ticket revenue for Water World, and additional food and ancillary sales through group events.
- Tasked with driving Water World and Adventure Golf attendance and revenue for tickets and private events to meet revenue targets.
- Create proposals that match park offerings to fit client needs.
Administrative Duties
- Prepare contracts, invoices and other necessary paperwork related to sales and event bookings.
- Assist in collecting payment from past due accounts when necessary.
- Work outside of traditional office hours and in the park as needed.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Working Environment/Physical Activities:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to work at indoor and outdoor temperatures, with extreme heat and cold.
Education/Experience:
- College degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, sponsorships, marketing, or attraction experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the recreation, hospitality or sports industry is advantageous.
