Program Manager

Summary:

The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating internal and external resources and interactions on large-scale, strategic and complex customer programs. The Program Manager will be the main point of contact to the customer for any live programs where parts are being produced as well as the main coordinator within Hynes Industries across every function to ensure seamless interaction and delivery of customer commitment and expectations.

This will include coordination of activities pertaining to customer demand planning, master production planning, vendor management, inventory management, quality management, operational performance and improvement initiatives, risk and issue management as well as internal and external communication and status updates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following:

Program Planning and Execution:

• Define program objectives, scope, and milestones; ensure alignment with organizational goals
• Oversee every aspect of a Customer Program from the time of manufacturing go-live

Cross-Functional Leadership:

• Work collaboratively with project managers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to coordinate and drive program initiatives
• Ensure that project interdependencies and risks are managed effectively

Risk Management:

• Identify potential program risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Actively track and manage risks to minimize program impact

Budget and Resource Management:

• Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
• Track program costs and provide financial updates to senior management

Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as the main point of contact for program stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and external partners
• Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations on program status, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement best practices to improve program efficiency and effectiveness
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the program team

Compliance and Governance:

• Ensure all program activities follow organizational policies, regulations, and industry standards. Maintain program documentation and governance

Education and/or Experience:  

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management or related field required
• At least five years of related experience required, including customer interactions
• PMP Certification - Project Management Professional Certification
• Experience related to metal fabrication (e.g. roll forming, stamping, welding, assemblies) a plus

Skills:

• Advanced level of Microsoft Office, including Excel
• MS Project or other relevant Project Management Tools

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Work Environment: Manufacturing and mill environment, office (some travel required)
