Director of Laboratory
Paris, TX 75460
Salary range: 95k - 120k
Signing bonus, partial relocation available
Required Skills/Experience:
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or Physical Sciences. Master’s Degree preferred, not necessary
· MT (ASCP) required
· Minimum of three years managerial experience in the clinical laboratory of an acute care hospital (in non-waived testing).
· Prefer experience with regulatory and accreditation of laboratory operations.
Job Description
· Responsible for direction and coordination of the personnel in Clinical Laboratory services.
· Activities included are performance of chemical, microscopic, blood bank and bacteriologic tests performed in the Clinical Laboratory to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
· Ensure that services are of the best quality, are cost contained and are carried out in an expeditious manner.
· Responsible for recognizing results or problems that require referral to the Clinical Laboratory Pathologist.
· Maintain performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.
· Formulate budget
· Maintain effective physician and intradepartmental relations
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
