Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Accounting Clerk based at our Americas Headquarters located in Greenville, North Carolina.
The Accounting Clerk position provides support for accounting processes (payables, invoicing, cash application) in terms of transaction processing, analysis, and error resolution. Examples of duties would include: vendor invoice processing, domestic invoice processing, cash application, vendor disbursement processing, contact management support). These processes utilize several software applications (SAP, SRM, PRMS, NOMS, OPEN TEXT). This position is technical requiring good accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting systems and processes. There can be a high degree of interaction with stakeholders both upstream and downstream. There is a strong focus on internal control and efficiency. The position is technical requiring knowledge of accounting and multiple accounting systems and processes. A high level of interaction among stakeholders is required to meet customer service requirements and resolve issues. Must understand upstream and downstream impact. Must have an aptitude for dealing with high processing volumes while operating with a high degree of precision and accuracy.

- Transaction Processing
- Support of accounting processes in terms of processing (e.g. vendor invoice processing, domestic invoice processing, cash application, vendor disbursement processing).
- Systems
- Responsible for the effective and efficient use of multiple software systems (SAP, SRM, PRMS, NOMS, OPEN TEXT).
- Customer Service
- Support of customer service requirements to resolve vendor/customer issues timely. Promote positive vendor/customer relationships.
- Continuous Improvement/Project Support
- Identify and recommend efficiency improvements. Support assigned projects (e.g. testing, validation, procedural development). .
The Accounts Accounting Clerk will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Degree and 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting related field. Or AS Degree in Accounting and 1-2 years’ experience in Accounting related field.
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
