This individual will provide CBDC staff level purchasing, research, and support services. The specialist in this position will focus on product design and development processes.
Duties include :
Support engineering and procurement prototype sourcing and ordering
Support shop activities including MRO / supply replenishment, special orders, and 5S initiatives
Evaluate suppliers, including local fabrication and machine shops, for competence and ability to meet CBDC development schedules
Maintain a level of technical competence which will enable strategic evaluation of engineering, manufacturing, and quality systems of suppliers
Minimum Qualifications :
Strong understanding of, and comfort with, mechanical and fabrication principles and practices
Two years minimum experience in business procurement, industrial experience preferred
General understanding of engineering drawings
Familiar with purchase orders and data entry processes in SRM / SAP
Skill in negotiating and communicating with suppliers and internal customers e.g., engineers, mechanics, and technicians
Ability to keep multiple projects moving simultaneously
Skilled user of Microsoft Office products
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to lift 40 pounds
