We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machining Engineer with a strong background in 5-axis CNC machining and robotics. This role requires an engineering foundation and a desire to lead advanced machining centers.. The ideal candidate will be required to travel, including international and domestic travel, to learn and implement cutting-edge machining technologies. Additionally, this role will require extensive training and proficiency in the Heidenhaim platform and Fanuc, ensuring mastery of its controls and programming capabilities.

- Participate in on-the-job training programs to master 5-axis CNC machining, robotics, and automation.
- Independently set up, program, and operate CNC-controlled milling centers with an emphasis on 5-axis machining.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and R&D teams to optimize machining processes.
- Configure tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for optimal accuracy and repeatability.
- Monitor machining cycles, making real-time adjustments to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to machinists and production personnel.
- Troubleshoot CNC programming, machine operation issues, and robotic system malfunctions.
- Read and interpret AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings and models to ensure exact specifications.
- Optimize machining sequences and build control plans for complex geometries, precision components, and prototype parts.
- Conduct process improvement initiatives to enhance cycle times, minimize waste, and increase efficiency.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and safety protocols.
- Develop extensive expertise in the Heidenhain platform, including programming, troubleshooting, and machine setup.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with 5-axis CNC machining and programming.
- Experience with robotic loading systems and automated machining centers.
- Strong understanding of G-code, AutoCAD, CAM software and SolidWorks.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the year domestically and internationally, for first year training.
- Ability to mentor, train, and support machinists and operators in implementing advanced processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot CNC machine issues, robotic integrations, and process inefficiencies.
- Must be willing to learn and master Heidenhain CNC controls for high-precision machining.
- Prior experience using Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Siemens CNC controls.
- Strong background in precision engineering and high-tolerance machining.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive machining tasks.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and move between production areas.
- Ability to work flexible schedules due to travel and training requirements.
