Summary
Lead strategic planning for Hyundai's commercial vehicle portfolio in North America, from vans to heavy-duty trucks and buses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, sales, engineering, finance, and manufacturing, to envision and define products that meet the evolving needs of customers and the market.
Commercial vehicles product planning aligns with our corporate goal of delivering the best vehicles for the North American customer through regional technical leadership and local / global collaboration.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership : Lead the development of product strategy for Hyundai's van and heavy-duty truck segments in North America, ensuring alignment with Hyundai's overall business objectives and market demands.
Market Analysis and Insight : Conduct in-depth market research, analyze customer needs, and track competitive activity to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats. Utilize insights to drive product innovation and differentiation.
Product Roadmap Development : Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing product features, updates, and innovations based on customer needs, industry trends, and business objectives.
Innovation and Sustainability : Drive initiatives focused on innovation, particularly in areas such as electrification, autonomy, and connectivity, to position Hyundai's commercial vehicles as market leaders in sustainability and performance.
Stakeholder Communication : Provide regular updates to senior management, ensuring alignment on product strategies, key milestones, and strategic decisions.
Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing throughout the division and with counterparts in Headquarters and Namyang in Korea.
Support to the North American Regional Headquarters with customer product inquiries.
Lead the creation and presentation of clear & concise project status and technical reports
Develop and manage the department's strategies, plans, human resources and budgets. Mentor direct reports.

Compensation
165,000-$210,000
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science Degree
15 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry
5 years of demonstrated experience in product planning
5 years of experience managing product planners
Strong data-driven decision-making abilities
Proficiency in planning, executing, and monitoring projects
Excellent written communication and presentation skills
Flexibility in handling multiple projects and changing priorities
Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
