What to Expect
This position will be primarily responsible for supporting the preparation of the quarterly / annual IFRS & US GAAP financial statements, footnote disclosures, related analysis and other external reporting. This position will be the primary contact within the team for the Company bond offerings and other debt issuances. This position will have ownership of the auditor requests and assist with the audit and attest work performed by the Company’s external auditors. The candidate for this position must collaborate with other department team members as well as counterparties in other departments while maintaining internal controls and a high level of service to all stakeholders. This position is also responsible for month-end close, analytics and reconciliation for IFRS and US GAAP.
What You Will Do
1. Participates in production of quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and FSS reporting. Works directly with external auditors and upper management to support all aspect of financial reporting.
2. Participates in the external audit and attest work, documenting key accounting positions and policies for auditors, and coordinating requests from the audit staff.
3. Participates in month-end US GAAP and IFRS close procedures including, but not limited to, J / E posting and / or review, GL accounts reconciliations, various financial statement analyses to ensure all transactions are being recorded / reconciled properly, accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Supports the preparation of the financial portion of all annual compliance reporting and MTN reports.
5. All other duties as assigned.
