Job Description

 

Summary

 

As an Industrial Operation Technician, your role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial equipment, particularly those involving HMI, VCB, ACB, and high/low voltage systems. You ensure efficient and safe operations by performing routine inspections, addressing equipment issues promptly, and conducting preventive maintenance. Additionally, you maintain accurate records and collaborate with the facility management team to comply with safety standards, contributing to the overall success and smooth operation of the facility.

  

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or higher preferred.
  • State approved license preferred. (Conditioned air contractor, Plumber)
  • 3~5 years professional experience in live facility maintenance preferred.
  • Experience with Korean company/culture preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

Knowledge:

  • Electrical Systems: In-depth understanding of high and low voltage systems, including the operation and maintenance of VCBs and ACBs.
  • Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI): Proficient in using HMI systems to monitor and control industrial processes.
  • Industrial Equipment: Comprehensive knowledge of various industrial machinery and equipment, including their functions and maintenance requirements.
  • Safety Standards: Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance and safe operations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns.

  • Troubleshooting: Strong diagnostic skills to identify and resolve issues with electrical systems and industrial equipment efficiently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to use diagnostic tools and software for equipment analysis and maintenance.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and document maintenance activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve complex technical problems under pressure.
  • Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks and manage time to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Essential Functions


  1. Equipment Operation and Monitoring:
    • Utilize Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) to monitor and control industrial processes.
    • Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and within safety parameters.


  1. Maintenance and Repair:
    • Perform routine maintenance on Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB), Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), and other high and low voltage systems.
    • Conduct repairs to address equipment malfunctions and minimize downtime.


  1. Troubleshooting:
    • Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical systems and industrial machinery.
    • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify problems and implement solutions.

 

  1. Preventive Maintenance:
    • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan and prevent unexpected failures.
    • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities.


  1. Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure all operations comply with industry safety standards and regulations.
    • Implement safety protocols and conduct safety audits.


  1. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
    • Document any changes or upgrades to equipment and systems.


  1. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with engineering, production, and facility management teams to optimize equipment performance.
    • Provide training and support to junior technicians and operators.


  1. Emergency Response:
    • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions.
    • Be available for on-call duties as required.

  • Schedule:

Monday to Friday (8 hours) - For the first two weeks of training, you will work Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day. After that, you will be placed on a rotating shift, either the day or night shift. The shifts rotate every 2 to 3 months.

Weekends as needed (OT will be paid)
