Job Title: General Affairs Assistant Manager
Pay: $54,000- $66,000

Summary:
Supervise, security, facility maintenance, procurement, asset management, property insurance, ISO 14001 & 45001 certification, and administrative duties; supervise processes support CTPAT compliance for FTZ regulations; support all departments to ensure production goals are met. Liaise with GA Manager to make sure the environment could promote the productive work, neat, tidy, and clean all the time, record all the office assets, routine office & facility audits, and office renovation.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise facility maintenance repair process and maintenance contractors for CC,Lineside and OCC locations (docks, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, fire alarm, fire extinguishers, roofing, foundation, construction, landscaping, irrigation, janitorial, etc.)
-Adhere to State and Federal regulations with OSHA, EPA guidelines, Waste Management -Supervise security processes and functions for CC and OCC (facility access, visitor mgmt, FTZ & CTPAT compliance, etc.). -Oversee asset management process and compliance for CC, OCC, and Line side locations (investments, annual audit, etc.)
-Supervise property, general liability, automobile, umbrella, and crime insurance policies for all locations (CC, OCC, MCC) -Supervise investment purchasing process, negotiate best equipment pricing from vendors and distribute details internally.
-Review/Renew contracts services pertaining to General Affairs (security, maintenance, Janitorial, landscaping, insurance, etc). -Execute plans and directives outlined by General Affairs manager in regards to safety training and best practices.
-Ensure the overall well-being of our organization by mitigating risk and implementing loss prevention tactics and strategies.
-Monitor facility access controls to protect company assets and employees; review CCTV surveillance footage regularly. -Schedule repairs, process charge-back claims to subcontractors, and submit invoice requests for property damages.
-Help the General Affairs Manager in directing daily business operations. -Provide countermeasures to prevent safety-related issues & property damage from occurring in all work areas
Secondary:
- Support annual CTPAT and ISO 45001 certification renewals in regards to security and safety requirements. -Continuously audit facility to ensure safe work practices, loss prevention, mitigate risk, and ensure OSHA & EPA compliance. -Provide coaching and leadership in order for personnel to successfully meet key performance targets and goals. -Ensure financial targets, budgets, and departmental goals are attained and review/revise departmental policies annually. -Conduct root-cause investigations, analyze all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implement countermeasures in order to avoid accidents or loss due to injury, material damage, workers compensation, and down time. -Safety and Policy training completed on time.
Other Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe work environment and safety culture mindset by providing updated training materials to Glovis personnel and subcontractors and implementing best practices for all work processes. -Strong leadership skills, problem solving, and coaching skills with a drive for action and change. -Provide direction, support, and leadership to ensure the overall success of Glovis Alabama.
Knowledge, Education, Experience:
Three (3) years of direct experience and supervisory experience required.
Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.
HS Diploma Required
