Job Title: HR Specialist

Department: Human Resources

Location: Atlanta, GA

Report to: CFO

Roles & Responsibility:

· Regularly partners with hiring managers and other appropriate managers to anticipate and plan for staffing needs in advance of required start date.

· Sources candidates through cold calling, search engines, referrals, networking, career fairs, and other avenues.

· Generates and maintains internal and external job postings; determines effective advertising mediums; places appropriate advertisements.

· Pre-screens, interviews, assesses, and hires top-quality candidates.

· Coordinates hiring process, including but not limited to conducting background and reference checks, negotiating salary offers, and issuing job confirmation letters and other internal communication.

· Manages relationships with external agencies and vendors who advertise and promote targeted jobs.

· Assist with administration of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.

· Coordinates and/or conducts employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs.

· Conducts exit interviews with employees; communicates findings to management.

· Responds to inquiries regarding the organization’s processes, policies, procedures, and programs.

· Conducts ongoing information and training sessions to develop employees and provide support and problem resolution.

· Coordinates distribution/communication of projects including but not limited to Employee Policy handbook, 401(k) open enrollment, and employee recognition.

· Identifies potential employee-relations issues and makes recommendations to management.

· Conducts investigations into claims of harassment or other company-guideline violations.

· Intermediate MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Effective Interpersonal skills

· Detail oriented

· Strong Organizational skills

· Takes Initiative

· Good judgment and decision making

· Great social and communication skills

· Great oral and written communication skills

Education and Work Experience:

· Preferably 2 – 3 years’ experience and proven track record in a recruiting role (screening, interviewing, and hiring)

· Experienced in the acceptable practices of interviewing and recruiting in a non-discriminatory environment.

· One (1) or more years’ experience in Human Resources exposure and/or administration/clerical work

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Human Resources or Business Administration related)

· Other relevant experience in analytical and planning will be considered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
