Summary of Position:
Performs in a fast paced, repetitive bench or line assembly
operations to assemble automotive seat units or sub-
assemblies having many parts and details and were tolerances
are specific or controlled by jigs and fixtures.

Performs in a fast paced, repetitive bench or line assembly
operations to assemble automotive seat units or sub-
assemblies having many parts and details and were tolerances
are specific or controlled by jigs and fixtures.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Proficient at all processes related to the production of foam. Troubleshoot/ resolve foaming issues
- Review work orders and work instructions to ensure work is performed according to specifications
- Use a variety of tools (pneumatic, electronic, etc) to perform job
- Monitor foam operating systems.
- Start and stop foam production when needed.
- Monitor production and assist in foam pad inventory management
- Material handling functions as required
- Perform layered audit and quality checks
- Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular Foam process
- Ensure 5-S is adhered to properly
- Track parts and scrap using electronic system
- Follow processes and procedures associated with the Foam area
- Work with processes and procedures associated with the Foam area
- Write production reports daily
- Performs any variety of operations within the group to maintain flow of work
- Follow requirements of Quality policy, ISO/TS16949
- Follow all safety policies
- Must adhere to the anti-mutilation policy
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience in assembling automotive components is preferred
- Leadership skills and experience
- Quality experience in an assembly and manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Excel is preferred
- 1 year of experience in Foam production is preferred
- Good problem-solving skills
- Proficient skills in math, reading and writing
- Good interpersonal and communication skills required

- Heavy walking and standing throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Required to use hands to type, handle objects, boxes, equipment, tools and paperwork
- Required to raise his/her arms overhead to work, reach, and carry
- Required to use close vision, peripheral vision, focus and see colors as required to read equipment and material labels, color-coded inventory, computer terminal screens, etc.
- Be willing to travel for training if required
- Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required
- Ability to work a fixed or rotating schedule
