Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, the Senior Generalist will be responsible for Benefits and Leave Administration, Recruiting, Payroll Processing, and provide general HR Support for US-based employees. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience and have the desire to work in a fast-paced global company.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, retention, offboarding, and advocacy.
Support U.S. Benefits Administration, including:
- Processing Qualified Life Events
- Subject matter expert able to answer employee questions and assist with benefit questions.
- Benefits portal and UKG Pro System input/maintenance
- Reconciliation of benefits invoices.
Handle Leave Administration:
- Effectively interprets ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and workers compensation. Makes recommendations to employee leave policies.
Support U.S. Talent Acquisition, including:
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, coordinating interviews, screening candidates, and assisting with on-boarding.
- Coordinating external resources (temp agencies, retained/contingency search firms)
Process Bi-weekly Payroll:
- Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of electronic timekeeping system (WFM)
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time using UKG Pro
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, ensuring policies and practices are legally compliant.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources or related area of study or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
- 5 years’ experience in Human Resources with broad background and experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel using pivot tables, v-lookups, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Social Security and DOL requirements.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent customer service
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize requests with varying timelines.
- Extensive attention to detail, highly organized
- May require domestic and international travel.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- PHR, SPHR, or other relevant HR Certifications
- Previous UKG Pro experience
- Experience in the High-Tech, Consumer Electronics, or Manufacturing Industries
- Resilient and adaptable in a fluid work environment
- Hands-on and action-oriented
- Strong personal drive
- A consultative and collaborative style that allows for influence without authority.
