Summary
The Compensation Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and administration of the company's compensation programs. This role ensures that compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals. The Compensation Manager will work closely with People & Culture (P&C), finance, and management teams to design and manage salary structures, incentive plans, and benefits programs.
Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and implement compensation strategies and structures that align with the company's objectives and market trends.
• Conduct regular market analyses to ensure competitive pay practices.
• Design and manage incentive and bonus programs to drive performance and employee engagement.
• Oversee the administration of salary surveys and analyze data to determine competitive compensation levels.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to People & Culture and management on compensation-related matters.
• Develop and maintain job descriptions and salary ranges for new positions.
• Conduct job evaluations and classifications to ensure internal equity.
• Collaborate with Finance and People & Culture teams to manage the annual compensation review process.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs and make recommendations for improvements.
• Align compensation programs with recruitment strategies to attract quality candidates.
• Collaborate with HR and management to integrate compensation plans within the broader total rewards framework, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and employee value propositions.
• Work closely with benefits, recognition, and other reward strategy teams to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive total rewards approach.
• Conduct regular market analysis to ensure compensation packages remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of compensation policies that support the total rewards strategy.
• Attends meetings and training as necessary.
• All other assigned duties.
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation management or a related HR role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS and compensation management software.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to promote pay raises or benefit changes in executive-level meetings.
Preferred Education and Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, or other complex healthcare needs.
• Experience with compensation tools and market pricing software.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, PMP)
Supervisory Responsibility
The Compensation Manager will have no direct supervisory responsibilities. However, they will lead and assist in various projects and initiatives, providing guidance and support to team members and collaborating with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work environment, combining both in-office and remote work. Staff are expected to work from the office on specific days and have the flexibility to work remotely on other days. The exact schedule will be determined based on team needs and individual responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel will be required to other I Am Boundless facilities and community events, during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected occasionally. Frequent travel for in-person meetings is expected.
