Summary/Objective
The Compliance Manager supports the Compliance and Privacy Programs. This role functions as support that helps review and evaluate compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The position assists the Executive Director in ensuring that management and employees comply with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s standards.
The Compliance Manager position exists:
• to assist the Executive Director in compliance matters, and
• to assist the Executive Director in investigations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Director in the Management of the Compliance Program
- Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Finance, Internal Audit, Human Resources, etc.) to manage compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
- Keeps up to date on changing governmental requirements, reporting obligations, and other related areas identified in the future.
- At the direction of the Executive Director, investigates alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitors compliance activities by other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends.
- At the direction of the Executive Director, analyzes and identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues; and provides general guidance on avoiding or dealing with similar situations in the future.
- Provides reports regularly, and as directed or requested, by the Executive Director.
- Manages and monitors the Audit and Monitoring schedules for the CAG meeting ensuring each department and business unit is timely in their reports to the CAG.
- Under the guidance of the Executive Director, performs audits to ensure compliance standards are being met.
- Management of the Anonymous Hotline.
- Coordinates with the appropriate departments to develop effective compliance training programs and report statistics on compliance training and education efforts.
- Develops periodic compliance reports.
- Monitors the performance of Compliance and related activities continuingly.
- Manages the development and implementation of policies and procedures departments and business units in achieving the goal of updated policies and procedures every two years.
- Manages the maintenance and revision of policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
- Manages the communication regarding new or changed policies and procedures
- Serves as the Privacy Officer.

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a field relevant to Boundless practices
• At least three years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Preferred Education and Experience
• Experience in healthcare compliance is a plus.
Supervisory Requirements This position has no supervisory responsibilities but is responsible for assigning work and goals for projects and committees.
Work Environment
This job operates in a variety of offices and other environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and other electronic devices with associated programs and applications. This position works both remotely from an authorized home or other work location, from assigned company sites, as may be assigned or authorized from time to time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours and telecommuting is required to complete work assignments and responsibilities to Boundless clients. This is not a position that has assigned start and stop times each day. The demands of the work dictate the hours required for work. Work demands routinely exceed forty (40) hours per week. Still, this position has a great deal of autonomy to determine the hours necessary to complete the work, provided that supervisor approval has been obtained.
Travel
Travel is primarily throughout Central Ohio during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
