What Does an Intern Do?
- Collaborates with licensed engineers to develop skills and knowledge.
- Utilizes computer software for Mechanical heating/cooling load calculations.
- Encouraged to apply education in solving engineering problems.
- Designs equipment, ductwork, and piping layouts using Revit/BIM to meet project requirements.
- Coordinates with electrical engineers to ensure equipment power requirements are met.
- Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare documents.
- Inputs data required by the program to solve specific problems.
- Familiarizes themselves with state-of-the-art design and relevant local regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Able to accept direction and supervision well.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- ACAD/Revit experience is advantageous.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
