What You'll Do
Ignite Student Passions – Guide students in exploring their strengths, interests, and aspirations to create a personalized roadmap for success.
Build Student Agency – Equip students with the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to take ownership of their education, choices, and future.
Provide Academic & Career Guidance – Help students set goals, navigate challenges, and prepare for high school, college, and beyond.
Foster Emotional & Social Growth – Create a safe, inclusive space where students can develop emotional intelligence, manage stress, and build meaningful relationships.
Champion Equity & Inclusion – Ensure every student feels seen, heard, and valued, advocating for resources and opportunities that promote success for all.
Partner with Families & Educators – Work closely with teachers, parents, and community members to create a strong support network for students.
✨ Lead Inspiring Programs & Workshops – Design engaging initiatives that cultivate leadership, personal growth, and resilience in our DREAMERS.
QUALIFICATIONS
✔ Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
✔ Valid state certification/licensure as a school counselor.
✔ Experience in academic advising, college/career readiness, or student advocacy.
✔ Strong knowledge of adolescent development, social-emotional learning (SEL), and trauma-informed practices.
✔ Ability to build trusting relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
✔ Strong organizational, problem-solving, and crisis intervention skills.
✔ Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
