Assistant Manufacturing Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Assistant Manufacturing Lead for our injection molding facility. This role is pivotal in supporting manufacturing to ensure smooth operations on the production floor, overseeing the mixing of materials with the correct color, managing inventory, and ensuring quality in packaging. This is a great opportunity for a hard working individual to see all aspects of a small manufacturing company and participate in the growth of the company. The hours for this position is Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plastic Management:
  • Ensure materials are mixed accurately with the correct color as per production specifications.
  • Monitor the quality of the materials mixture to prevent defects in production.
• Production Oversight:
  • Prepare machines with materials and ensure consistent material supply for production.
  • Oversee the packaging process to ensure parts are correctly packaged and labeled for shipping.
• Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, finished products, and packaging supplies.
  • Regularly report inventory levels to management and coordinate reordering as necessary.
• Machine Operation:
  • Act as a machine operator during breaks or peak production times to ensure continuous workflow.
  • Review product quality to guarantee consistency for our customers
• Shipping and Logistics:
  • Pull and prepare parts for shipping, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with the shipping department to maintain schedules and documentation.
• Team Leadership:
  • Train and mentor production staff on processes, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in injection molding or manufacturing environment would be helpful but not required
• Skills:
  • Hard working and ability to multi task 
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Computer literacy helpful 
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
