What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Lead position at NutraStar Inc.?
The Manufacturing Lead is responsible for ensuring the safety and production goals of the Manufacturing Department are achieved. This role is responsible for leading the members of the team to ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained. This includes training, reporting, proper and timely paperwork completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all processes are followed correctly. Make sure the manufacturing procedures are being followed by all team members with accurate and legible information being recorded in the Batch records/Logbooks.
- Equipment such as Forklifts, Polishers, Tablet Dedusters, inspection tables are functioning properly and being utilized properly by all team members.
- Schedule and assign tasks: Assign tasks to operators and ensure they are completed on time and to specification.
- Monitor all encapsulation and tableting processes: Track processes in real time, identify any deviations, and take corrective action if necessary.
- Conduct quality checks: Perform or oversee quality checks on materials to ensure they meet predetermined specifications.
- Maintain production records; Document all encapsulation activities, including batch records, logbooks, and any other manufacturing logs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives: Identify opportunities to improve encapsulation efficiency, quality, and yield.
- Create accurate shift reports including all activities and send it to the Supervisor before the end of the shift.
- Walk the manufacturing floor once every 15 minutes throughout the entire shift.
- Maintain cleanliness: Ensure all rooms and equipment are clean and organized at the end of each shift.
- Show a desire and willingness to learn and succeed.
- Complete all required training activities.
- Demonstrates commitment to the organization by maintaining regular, on-site attendance, is reliable and follows through on responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bilingual, must be able to read and write English.
- Experience in Manufacturing in a cGMP environment
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Able to work in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, multitasking, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Strong willingness to learn and grow
- Basic math skills, keen observation ability
40 hour week: Mon-Thurs. 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
