Qualifications
- Professional Educators License with General Administrative Endorsements
- Superior communication and leadership skills required
- Assists the principal in the general administration of the school and serves as principal when the principal is absent.
- Assists the principal in the supervision and improvement of classroom instruction
- Must demonstrate effectiveness in increasing student achievement and collaborative leadership
- Strong knowledge and understanding of multi-tiered systems of support
- Must demonstrate interpersonal, organizational, and management skills needed to effectively solve problems, to lead and inspire excellence in students and engaged teaching among faculty
- Must demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions based upon careful research and analysis from all relevant sources
- Must demonstrate approachability, accessibility, compassion, understanding, and the ability to maintain an established partnership with faculty, staff, students, and parents
- Must provide creative, innovative, and effective approaches to address and support the building's needs as Assistant Principal
- Coordinate parent and community communications / contact and function as parent liaison
- Highly organized and able to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
