Assistant Retail Manager

You will have to work 6 days a week until August 1st. After August 1st, you will work 5 days a week. After one year, you will get one week off vacation and 5 days sick leave.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee our kiosk store in the Pentagon City Mall in Arlington, VA. They will run operations and drive sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Retail Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, leading a team of employees, and ensuring that the store meets its sales targets while maintaining high standards of merchandising and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and staff scheduling.
• Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent customer service.
• Utilize POS systems to track sales performance and manage transactions efficiently.
• Implement employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the team.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Develop and manage budgets, ensuring that financial goals are met while controlling costs.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms for inventory purchases.
• Foster a positive shopping environment by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth within the store.

Experience

• Proven experience in retail management or a similar role is required.
• Strong skills in sales management with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience with budgeting and financial reporting is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages (bilingual or multilingual) is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail technology is essential.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and customers alike.
