About this role: Wells Fargo is looking for an experienced Senior Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist to join their London Trade Support team, specialising in Cross Asset classes. This role entails supporting Front Office and other Middle Office team members in various functions including rates, FX, Credit, Repo, MCCF, and Treasury functions. The position entails close collaboration with Front Office, Finance, and the US Documentation and Operations/Settlements teams on a daily basis. Responsibilities include ensuring timely booking of all activities, performing trade enrichment as needed, ensuring proper settlement, and facilitating reporting. Additionally, the role involves working closely with Sales, Finance, Compliance, Technology, COO Teams, as well as other Operations and global Middle Office teams daily. In this role, you will: Provide full trade support cover for all traders/sales teams in a controlled manner by following all MO procedures. Posses good knowledge on Rates/FX/Credit/Repo and Treasury functions. Have a high level of attention to detail to ensure all trades checked before verified on trade date. Manage Intra-day Risk and P&L reporting, investigation of discrepancies between reported and posted P&L. Monitor daily trading exception reports. Be responsible for monitoring and resolution of OPICS trades that needs repair. Manage the resolution of trade queries. Assist with front to back reconciliations. Assist the treasury desk in Liquidity Management and Funding. Work closely with Settlements/Payments functions. Liaise with Risk and Product Control Departments to resolve any discrepancies between Middle Office and other reports produced elsewhere. Execute the coordination of Client Derivatives Documentation. Participate in system upgrades / testing. Be a team player and must show flexibility for working early morning shifts. Have the ability to work with team members and business partners across the bank. Execute project work/Ad hoc management requests. Embrace the enhancement of the control framework around the daily processes. Maintain the enhancement of governance documents (e.g. Process flows and procedures). Act as the link between business requirements and technology solutions. Be responsible for fact finding for any Issue and help escalation to Management. Ensure all Initiatives are captured on the teams BOW and is updates at all times. Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a strong academic background and established experience in FX/Rates Cash Securities and OTC Derivatives Middle Office including Treasury functions and overall must have a strong Rates background. Have a strategic mindset to work/lead International projects and partner with our APAC and Dublin teams. Excellent Markitwire experience essential, the ability to build a ticket from scratch and enrich where appropriate. Analytical with strong verbal and written communication skills. Good understanding of trade lifecycle across the Rates and FX (including NFD Fixings). An excellent understanding of life cycle knowledge of Cash Securities and OTC products (CDS). Good Settlement knowledge across DTC, Fed, E/C and Clearstream. Ability to work across multiple regions. Must have the experience with systems such as TOMS/OPICS/CALYPSO/GSF/CATALYST/MARKITWIRE Must have advance Excel and VBA experience Confident and the ability to work under pressure of a trading floor and deliver on strict deadlines. The Middle Office Function is a control function and it is imperative that all team members’ work in a controlled manner to manage risk and follow procedure at all times. They will also work with Technology and other Middle Office teams globally on Front Office projects and process improvements and cover other MO teams (HK/US) if/when required.
