Payroll Tax Analyst

Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 years Responsibilities: * Ensure accurate and timely submissions of all State and Local Tax registrations for our regulated and non-regulated companies. * Work with our 3rd party provider on changes to our account setups as they arise in the due course of business activities. Ensure system of record and 3rd party provider is in sync. * Maintain state & local tax accounts – registrations, updates, and closures. * Review internal tax Control Reports related to weekly/biweekly payroll processing. * Work with tax agencies to resolve inquiries pertaining to state and local withholding registrations. * Perform a variety of other activities including data analysis, account maintenance, and tax reconciliations. MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):List at least top 3 required skills (Quick-hit descriptions of functions expected of the worker, etc.) and years of experience or range for each outlined required skill. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail * Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively across various levels of the organization * An ability to work individually and as part of a team * A Bachelor’s degree. * Three or more years of relevant work experience with multi-state and local taxes. * Experience working with state and local jurisdictions for tax account updates. * Knowledgeable navigating 3rd party tax applications, i.e. ADP. * Experience with HRMS and Payroll processing responsibilities and system applications-PeopleSoft and/or Workday preferred. * Intermediate Excel. DESIRED SKILLS: List skills that are not required to perform the role, but would be helpful and in some cases could supersede a missing "must-have" skill. * Understanding of the end-to-end Payroll processes and how the Payroll functional processes integrate with the overall end-to-end Payroll Tax processes. * Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously. * Willingness for flexible scheduling to meet processing demands. * Strong sense of urgency, proactive approach, and a solid focus on results. * CPP or FPC. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: * A Bachelor’s degree. LOGISTICS: Shift: This position is standard 9-5pm. Weekend work may be required during Year End.

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
