Job Description Summary:
Responsible for performing a wide variety of high level mechanical and electrical build of subassemblies.
Knowledge/Skills:
–Ability to follow written manufacturing instructions and expert manufacturing knowledge of designs/drawings/diagrams
--Must be able to use hand tools, operator shop tools
– Computer skills and use of computer programs/software specific to the manufacturing process, tracking and traceability of product
– Understands processes and work instructions and able to document processes. Able to submit changes to processes / prints and able to work with engineering on production process
Qualifications - Education/Experience:
–High school or equivalent
--Reading and writing and math skills
–Read and follow complex electrical and mechanical prints
–Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
--Solder skills preferrable but not required
--Experience in cable assembly (cutting, labeling, crimping
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
–Requires visual acuity (visual ability to resolve fine detail) and manual dexterity (fine hand and finger movements)
–Requires limited supervision for routine processes, can implement changes with detailed instruction
–Must be available for overtime work
–Must be able to stand for periods up to 4 hours
–Must be able to lift at least 10lbs frequently; up to 35lbs occasionally, and heavier weights with assistance
–Must be able to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes and glasses
–Must be able to work with or around chemicals
