JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Technician, Engineering 1, to perform technical writing new cable & harness products under the guidance of the Engineering Group. Capable of understanding schematics, figuring out dimensions and performing BOM updates. Creates digital process based on NPI documentation to establish Manufacturing production process. To excel in this key role, you must be able communicate clearly.
ESSENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manufacturing experience with technical insight on specific equipment or processes.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and general manufacturing designs/drawings/diagrams.
- Computer skills and use of computer programs/software specific to the manufacturing processes.
- Understands processes and procedures and can recognize non-conformance or problems.
- Blueprint Reading Course preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with building Cable Assemblies.
- Certifications is preferred.
- Advanced reading, writing and math skills with min high school diploma or equivalent.
- IPC 610 / 620 certifications and familiar with ISO 9000 standards.
- Typically requires 0-2 years of prior manufacturing and hands-on experience.
- Intuitive Software Experience or other ERP systems.
- Familiar with Computer software such as Microsoft office, Adobe.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work with direction in a team environment.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (POSITION SPECIFIC)
- Perform basic navigation through Customer prints, wiring diagrams and customer supplied documentation to document the build of new products.
- Understanding Requirements, Notes & Specs called out on drawings.
- Knowledge of tools & many operations.
- Ability to evaluate and make recommendations on process/product issues.
- Accountable for individual results.
- Work within a team environment.
- Adaptable and flexible to changing demands and work schedules/assignments.
- Adheres to established safety practices and quality system requirements.
- Works collaboratively with NPI builders and Engineers to create process documents that are easily understood, consistent in format and formatted for efficiency.
