What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician - Test Assembly 1 position at i3 Assembly?
JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Technician, Test Assembly 1 will be responsible for testing various electrical Cables or Sub-Assemblies. Must follow directions given by an Electrical Engineer whether using test units’ property notes or actual test procedures. Responsible for any printing of the test data sheets when required. Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures. Will be required to assist in solving problems or requesting an Electrical Engineer with any test issues. This position’s specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Computer skills and use of computer programs/software specific to the manufacturing process.
- Understands processes and procedures and can recognize non-conformance or problems.
- May include other duties as assigned and/or special projects.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Typically requires 1-2 years of prior manufacturing and hands-on experience.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work with direction in a team environment.
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (POSITION SPECIFIC)
- Must be a Certified Test Operator or be Trained to be Certified.
- Test Cables, Sub-Assemblies or Circuit Boards.
- Print and Save Test Data.
- Claim Operations & Record Serial Numbers
- Follow all test protocols.
- Visual Inspection should be performed on Test Adapters as well as Cable Assemblies prior to and after testing.
- Adhere to established safety practices, environmental management and quality systems.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires visual acuity (visual ability to resolve fine detail) and manual dexterity (fine hand and finger movements.)
- Requires limited supervision for routine processes, can implement changes with detailed instruction.
- Must be available for overtime work if needed.
- Must be able to stand for periods up to 4 hours.
- Must be able to lift at least 10lbs frequently; up to 35lbs occasionally, and heavier weights with assistance.
- Must be able to wear required safety protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes and glasses.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
